Q: What are the “Administrative Expenses” of NAJC?

A: The NAJC incurs ZERO administrative expenses. There are no overhead costs. 100% of all donations and monies obtained through fund-raising are channeled directly to the charitable causes identified by the donor or the Board of Trustees. NAJC is a volunteer run organization.
 
Q: Is the contribution tax-deductible?
 
A: Yes, NAJC is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and all contributions are tax-deductible for US income tax purposes.
 
Q: What are the sources of NAJC funds?
 
A: NAJC is a publicly supported organization and receives donations only from the general public and businesses.  NAJC does not seek government funding or support in any form.
 
Q: Do I have to be a member to contribute?
 
A: No, but becoming a member and getting involved in NAJC causes is appreciated.
 
Q: What is the membership fee?
 
A: Life membership is a one time fee of $300.00.
 
Q: Is there a minimum contribution that one may make?
 
A: No, any and all contributions are appreciated.
 
Q: How can I make a monetary contribution?
 
A: Send a check made out to: NAJC, Inc. and mail to 20 Gumani Court, Freehold, NJ 07728 or donate through Paypal or EFT.
 
Q: How will my contribution be used?
 
A: If no preference is specified by the donor, then Board of Trustees decide as to the project where your contribution is most beneficial.
 
Q: How can I help besides contributing financially?
 
A: a)  Volunteer – Volunteering is an integral part of our team. You may volunteer your services in India or US. b)  Partner with NAJC – NAJC has helped many generous donors in their personal quest to bring development and charitable services to rural India. Working hand in hand with donors, we have been successful in their vision being realized and legacies created.

Q: If I plan to sponsor a substantial project in rural India, how can NAJC help?
 
A: NAJC can provide guidance in setting up an NGO (non-governmental organization) in India that will be responsible for the overall supervision of the project. NAJC can also provide guidance for seeking other governmental approvals for the project/NGO such as FCRA (Foreign Currency Regulation Act), affiliation with governing bodies, etc.
 
Q: Does the sponsored project have to be secular or can it be for a specific community?
 
A: Secular projects are preferred due to their alignment with the mission of NAJC. However, donations can be directed toward specific communities given that it is legal and that the parameters adhere to NAJC bylaws. For the NAJC bylaws please contact Mr. Ram S.
